Peter Schloemer has been working in the United States as a freelance Cameraman since September 1982.In 1983 , Peter started his own video production service company, Odyn Film and Video, Inc.

Since that time he has worked for all major US and European Broadcasters and production companies like ARD/ZDF/RTL German TV, ABC/CBS/NBCPBS US Broadcasters, French TV, BBC, Danish TV, Smithonian, Mobil Oil, Siemens, US Departments of Education/Labor and Defense and many other independent producers in field and studio environments using video and film equipment for news and documentary productions. He has traveled to Africa/Europe/Asia/Middle East and extensively all over North and Central America

From March 1981 to February 1982 Peter was employed in West Germany at ZDF German Televison as a film camera assistant for various production departments.Following that was work for Hamman Film Production , Inc. Hamburg as a first camera assistant on a 35mm feature.

Prior to 1979, Peter was employed and trained as a staff photographer for an independent studio on the island of Foehr/Germany.

Peter received a Diploma in Cinematography from the School for Optical and Photographic Technology in West Berlin in July 1981.He received a Diploma in Photography from the Kiel School of Photography in 1977.

Peter has been living in the Washington D.C. area since 1982 and is fluent in German and English.

He holds the following press passes: DC Press Pass, Senate and House of Rpresentatives and is a menber of the Nabet Local # 31 Union.
